
Congratulations to the April Students of the Month!


The BHS Spirit Club is asking all staff and students to join us in a PINK OUT this Thursday, March 27th, to remember Tabby Welshans, a 6th grade student in Selinsgrove Area School District, who lost her battle with cancer last week.


Berwick Area senior Katya Newcomer was honored Wednesday at the WTS Central Pennsylvania Awards and Scholarship Gala in Camp Hill. The group's motto is "Advancing Women, Advancing Transportation." Katya was one of just five seniors throughout Central PA to earn the Colleen Brown High School Scholarship worth $2,000. Katya plans to attend the University of Omaha at Nebraska and major in Aviation/Professional Flight. Her goal is to become an airline pilot.


This week our BHS students along with the Teen Center will begin working together for a great cause and will be looking for sponsors! If interested, please reach out to the BHS student in your life to support Think Big and pledge your support! Please note that the due date has been extended to April 11th! Details about this great event are attached in this message. Please note that students are receiving their pledge forms today and tomorrow.

On Wednesday, February 26th, Berwick Area Senior High School held its annual National Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

BHS Criminal Justice Class of 2025 is seeking the names of Berwick graduates that have dedicated their careers to working for our local or state police forces. The seniors in the Criminal Justice CTE program at Berwick are building a dedication wall to honor Berwick graduates in this field. Berwick High School Student Council and Interact Club members volunteered for our annual Senior Citizens' Thanksgiving Dinner. Students seated and served over 200 guests to turkey & gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, and desserts.

Berwick's A team won the championship of the Ithaca Fall Tournament for the second year in a row!

Berwick A finished 9-1, overcoming a 3rd round 10-point loss to Geneva A with wins key wins over Cooperstown A, Bishop Ludden, and Skaneateles A to finish the preliminary round robin with only one loss and qualify for the Championship Match. Berwick A faced off against Cooperstown A in the final match dominated by Emma Czajkowski with 2 powers and 70 individual toss-up points in a convincing 295-125 win to claim the title.
Berwick's B-team also had a successful day, finishing at 6-4 in 4th place. Berwick B racked up 3 games scoring over 300 points against B-teams, but couldn't close against the three strongest A-teams in the field, losing by 70 points to both Geneva A and Cooperstown A, and also falling to Berwick A. Jaxon Hittle had a strong match in the 3rd place match against Geneva A with 2 powers and 60 toss-up points in a narrow 205-225 loss.
Jaxon and Emma finished the tournament 2nd and 4th in individual scoring, with Jack Kendron and Josie Morgan (Berwick A) and Thomas DiBattista (Berwick B) finishing just outside the top 10. Fable Gunther (Berwick A), Riley Kershner, and William Robinson-Gilden (Berwick B) contributed about a toss-up per game. The two Berwick teams had the two highest points-per-bonus rates of the tournament at 15.93 and 14.75.
Berwick has qualified for the NAQT High School National Championship in Atlanta for the fourth year in a row thanks to the first place finish.
